Professional Lego Builders Construct Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 Jet Engine

With the help of many Rolls-Royce graduates and apprentices, Bright Bricks built a half-size model of the Trent 1000 Engine. The idea came from a five-year-old boy after he sent them a picture of a small engine that he built out of legos with his dad.

“He’d sat down and built a little engine out of Lego with his father, sent it to me and that was sort of the seed of the idea” said Rolls-Royce brand manager, Sarah Martin.

The engine is used to power the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and is one of the most complex machines ever made.

Customer Spotlight—AJ Khubani: ‘As Seen on TV’!

Known as the “Infomercial King”, AJ Khubani is the genius behind the ‘As Seen on TV’ franchise, which brings affordable products from the television to your household. He stopped by today to pick up his Rolls-Royce Ghost from our Paul Miller Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Service department and I had the chance to shake his hand and snap a quick photo. Here he is pictured with Rolls-Royce Product Specialist, George Pillajo…

AJ Khubani revolutionized the industry by making his products easily obtainable through direct television marketing. In addition to running the show at the original ‘As Seen on TV’ headquarters (Telebrands, Corp) Mr. Khubani also serves on the adversary council at Montclair State University and is chairman of Princeton University’s Entrepreneurial Engineering Industrial Directors Board. Many of the products featured on Khubani’s infomercials can also be found at retailers nationwide such as Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, and Rite Aid. To read more about AJ Khubani click here!

Celebrity Spotlight—Bijan and his Yellow Drophead Phantom Coupe

Today we’d like to spotlight mucho famous Iranian menswear designer, Bijan (April 4, 1940-April 16, 2011).

Bijan dressed many political figures as well as celebrities including Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Tom Cruise, Jay Leno, Giorgio Armani, Usher, and more.

Besides his passion for designing menswear, Bijan also took interest in luxury automobiles. His collection included a Bugatti Veyron, Bentley Azure, and this Rolls-Royce Drophead Phantom Coupe.

The car is covered from head-to-toe in ‘Bijan Yellow’ including the interior, wheels, mirror, window frame and hood. There’s a diamond-pave watch embedded into the dashboard and a picnic set with crystal stemware included in the trunk (for casual outdoor dining).

Check out this video we found of him driving the Rolls-Royce to his store on Rodeo Drive…

Unfortunately Bijan will not be able to see the release of the 2012 limited edition ‘Bijan Yellow’ Phantom Drophead Coupe as a consumer vehicle but that doesn’t mean they’re not going to continue with production. 30 cars will be released to the public in honor of Bijan Pakzad and the partnership he shared with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
